Located in the Southeastern part of the United States, Georgia was considered as one of the Thirteen Colonies that revolted against the rule of the British during the American Revolution. The Dillard House is located deep in the Blue Ridge Mountain of Georgia. Dillard House’s History

During the late 1700′s, a land grant for 1,000 acres attracted the first Dillard to Blue Ridge Mountain. John Dillard, a revolutionary war continental veteran, settled in this portion of the mountain during the time when the Cherokee were populous.

It was not until the year 1917, when John Dillard’s descendants, Arthur and Carrie Dillard, opened their home to boarders who have been traveling the dirt road into the mountains to explore, or got off the Tallulah Falls Railroad. This was a blessing for the inn because, today, the Dillard House was able to retain its rural ambience without the high-speed road on its front.

The Food at the Dillard House

Tourists are advised to try the homemade fried chicken of Dillard House when they visit the place.
