Mall of the Emirates
One of the newest and largest shopping centers in Dubai, Mall of the Emirates is located on Sheikh Zayed Road. This area includes more than 200 shopping boutiques, a Ski Center, and highly advanced cinemas. It has numerous international chains notwithstanding luxurious stores that highlights branded items. Restaurants and cafes are very much crowded compared to other malls. Attached to it is the Kempinski Hotels which offers restaurants and bars all licensed to serve alcohol therefore is advantageous for tourists who are into a bit of booze. Located just above it is the Arabian souvenir shop wherein one can enjoy purchasing different oriental and native items strictly made by the people in the community.
Deira City Center
This is considered as one of the most popular malls in Dubai having Virgin Megastore, Debenhams and Zara as some of the top international street brands. Visiting Dubai wouldn’t be complete without taking a stream down Deira City Center. This mall includes numerous cafes, restaurants and multiplex cinemas. For traditional textiles and souvenirs, it has a gigantic Arabian Treasures department. The newest extension features several top of the line boutiques and the fittest restaurants. At the end of the mall, the Sofitel Hotel is strategically located having restaurants and bars that offer warranted alcohol.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
Located on Jumeirah road, Souk Madinat Jumeirah offers its visitors more than 70 shopping stores, wide-range bars, restaurants and cafes, a theatre and even a nightclub. This is one of the most targeted and expensive malls which make tourists become interested in spending their time. Here, restaurants and bars are allowed to sell alcohol for tourists and even local residents. Wandering within the mall is an experience visitors wouldn’t regret because of the resemblance of a traditional souq although; it maintained modern comforts of an air conditioning system.
Jumeirah Town Center
Located on Jumeirah Beach road, tourists can get exclusive fashionable gift items, skin and beauty products. Here, shopping is stress-free for the environment is made so as not to tolerate any exhaustion to those who will step forth. With an open, spacious and bright atmosphere, Jumeirah Town Center emphasizes shopping relaxation at its tranquility without leaving important details of shopping like wide varieties of diners namely Café Ceramique, Simply Healthy, Sumo Sushi and more. The town center is also the stop-over of females who are into beauty products and services whereas going to places like Paris Gallery, Wax Lounge, Nail Station, and Kaya Skin Care.
Ibn Battuta Mall
This mall features themed areas of six recognized countries namely: Egypt, Andalusia, China, Persia, India and Tunisia. Aside from wide range shopping stalls, it also offers stores selling top branded items. Like all other malls, has multiple cafes (like Starbucks) and restaurants although alcohols are not served. The mall has exhibitions of different inventions, astronomy and Islamic science. Attached outside it is the House of Prose, referred to as one of those bookshops in Dubai which offers second hand books.
One tip when going through the malls that were mentioned – if you want to purchase the cheapest groceries and electronics, majority of the malls have Carrefour which is like a hypermarket.
