Can’t wait to bring your kids on a European holiday? As long as kids are old enough to truly appreciate the cities or regions you will visit, they will have a grand time spending a vacation with you in any of the areas in Europe. Here are a few destinations you might want to consider:

Greece

Greece is one of the best European holiday destinations for you and your family if you have several kids in tow. Aside from the spectacular views, it’s also, according to a survey by the U.K. Post Office, a budget-friendly location.

School-age kids will love Greece if they’ve taken up Greek literature. The romance and mystery presented by Mt. Olympus, Knossos and the Parthenon, among others, will help introduce them to the country, its people and culture. You’ll love that many of the attractions here offer huge discounts for children, while others let those 18 and below in free of charge.

England

For more lessons in history and culture, why not spend a European holiday with your kids in England? This destination has plenty to offer in terms of zoos, parks, museums, restaurants and even beaches. Take a day trip to see the famous Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the impressive Big Ben. The famous Wax Museum of Madame Tussaud can also be found here.

If you have kids who adore video games, they’re in for a big treat. Segaworld is a large indoor area dedicated solely to providing interactive games and entertainment. A day spent here is something that your kids will never forget.

Italy

Another incredibly spectacular place to spend a holiday with kids is Italy, a favorite European destination. Italy is a country that combines the spectacle of great cities with the romance of resort towns and the peace of little areas carved on the side of the mountains. It’s also the home of some of the most marvelous beaches and countryside views. Your kids will find many of the buildings and landmarks here quite familiar; a day’s visit to the Tower of Pisa should give them a great treat.

Spend time with your kids exploring the city of Rome, with all its famous sculptors, paintings and architectures. If the day is especially hot, you could spend it in front of one of the fountains that litter the city. As for food, you’ll be glad to know that you are in the country where pizza was invented. So take your pick of the pasta and the pizza and give your kids an experience that they will treasure for the rest of their lives.

Cruising

If you want a holiday where you can have fun with your kids even while you’re traveling to your European holiday destination, why not try a European cruise? Cruises are well-organized mini-vacations in themselves. Many even offer trips that are especially designed for kids and young adults. You could choose a trip based on the given itinerary, location of shore excursions and even type of ship.

A cruise can be more relaxing and since the trip is managed for you, you don’t have to worry too much about the hassle of changing airplanes, finding the right terminal, going to your designated hotel or booking connecting flights. If you want to be able to explore different European holiday destinations from just one type of transportation, consider cruising.
