2. Is the company profitable?
3. Does the company accept major credit cards?
A properly managed travel business should be in the industry for a considerable number of years, should recognize credit cards, and should be profitable. If the travel business can’t answer the questions directly, you’d better think twice. Check the business’ background so that you can at least tell if the travel agency is capable of surviving the recessionary economy.
It is not only the US which is affected by recession but also Europe and Japan. Traveling is a necessity to most people and so the industry is safe from recession. Travelers should not merely look into the size of the travel agency in booking their travel. Even a small travel agency can give you a comfortable and worry-free travel as long as it is properly managed.
