University of South Florida is the nation’s foremost 63 research universities for public and the public universities are nominated by the Carnegie foundation for progressive teaching. The University of South Florida was honored by over $300 million in grants and research contacts last year. The university provides 219 degree programs at the graduate, undergraduate, doctoral levels and specialists including doctor of medicine. The annual budget of the university is $1.6 billion and the economic impact is $3.2 billion. It serves over 45000 students in Tampa campuses, Sarasota Manatee, St. Petersburg and USF polytechnic.
The University of South Florida is a member of the East Athletic Conference.
